What can you say to an angel who’s forgotten how to fly?
What can you say when he’s the one who always makes you smile…
But the corners of his lips can’t seem to be uplifted.
And what can you say to an angel who’s crying on the inside…
But both of you know that the tears won’t come.

Oh my angel… how you make me dance
And what giggles escape my lips when you’re around
You taught me how to fly again when I had fallen down
Oh my charming angel… how lives brighten with even your glance.
But even through this happiness you seem shrouded in gloom…

What can you say to an angel who doesn’t know what’s wrong?
What can you say when the words are on the edge of his lips…
But something is making him stay quiet.
And what can you do when you want to make this angel happy…
But there’s nothing you can do to help.

Oh my angel… I know you don’t expect me to save you
And that you will smile when the scars have begun to heal…
You touched my heart in a way no one else can.
Oh my enchanting angel… I can only hope that I’ve healed a few wounds.
But above all I pray that you will someday fly again…

I hadn't written anything in awhile and I felt compelled to write poetry. And not just ANY poetry! But something not as dark as what I usually write. And it's not actually disgustingly horrid. So all good stuff, I suppose.

I don't really wanna talk too much about the poem itself as poems are meant to be interpreted by the reader although reader and writer opinions could differ entirely. There's multiple, deeper meanings to what I write... some are hidden, some are not. That's the beauty of poetry.
